Ces Haliotis tuberculata lamellosa viennent d' une ancienne collection et ont été tous pêchés dans la baie de La Chiappa (Corse). Cette belle variété de couleurs et de formes issue du même endroit démontre l' inconstance de cet animal. Il est endémique de la Méditerranée et nettement plus petit qu' Haliotis tuberculata tuberculata. Le petit à la nacre sombre n' en est peut-être pas un! Mais sinon quoi: Haliotis mykonosensis Owen, Hanavan & Hall, 2001 ? Taille: 51/25 mm.
These Haliotis tuberculata lamellosa come from an old collection and were all caught in the La Chiappa Bay (Corsica). This beautiful variety of colors and shapes from the same location demonstrates the inconsistency of this animal. It is endemic to the Mediterranean and much smaller than Haliotis tuberculata tuberculata. The small with dark mother pearl is perhaps not one! But if not what: Haliotis mykonosensis Owen, Hanavan & Hall, 2001? Size: 51/25 mm.
